pretty even across the range here, but not too smooth (though on the smooth side, color-wise), and not too light (though on the lighter side)

still trying to make up my mind on the soprano – top a little tighter, and not that smoothly controlled, but nicely tinged color in middle range? Reaction speed a little slower than Clarice, but rounder tone?

Clarice more uni-color with slight sharpnesses, but nicely agile. (no bottom heft, though – would have expected differently with her coloring)

yes, definitely.
in color variety, technique and phrasing, Bridelli takes the cake among the female case. It’s easy to be fooled into thinking she’s just pleasant tone because she has that whole young-conventionally pretty-even timbre thing down, but she really does a lot more if one listens closely, and has done the work to be able to apply things.

(he’s got a nice tone, but i just hear it coming out the sound, telling you what the libretto is.. possibly i don’t hear tenors well 😉 )

jeah, that’s what happened when you use ffmpeg and forget to pay attention to bitrate, and occasionally clips don’t start at where you want to cut 🙂 . BUt i love that she kept the audio quality undisturbed, most important!
