While I don’t think this photo choice was necessary (well, it’s the AZM, so…), I am delighted at Cavalli coverage in the press and certainly well-deserved praise (I haven’t been there) for an indeed stellar cast.

Queer Lorgnette 
It was REALLY good. The singing (with one exception) was excellent. Bonitatibus shining like a diamond, Karg perfect for the role. Gauvin was the most hilarious Juno you can imagine, entered the stage through a golden elevator, wrapped in a tight dress, on high heels, and with two human peacocks on a leash. Unfortunately she was a bit subdued, her voice got a bit drowned in the orchestra. Tittoto has a booming, beautiful voice, and the man in drag (de rigeur, in Cavalli) was perfect.
The exception in the cast was the guy singing Satirino, who was talking more than singing, and frankly exaggerating with his antics.
The production was crazy, but it worked for me.
Great orchestra, but they cut the dance of the bears!! It’s the best bit!
