“il est toujours bon, sur ma foi, / d’avoir les femmes avec soi”

I will just leave this out here.

I think I can now retire in peace (also, in pieces): Chicago putting on two concert performances of “Carmen” with Jamie Barton in the lead and Stephanie Blythe’s Drag Tenor Alter Ego Blithely Oratonio as Don José?

I rest my case. I rest all my cases.

“…Et sans elles,
Mes toutes belles,
On ne fait jamais rien de bien.

  1. I have the single-ticket-sales date in my calendar and I’m hoping to snag two for me and a friend who can meet me there.

LIVE opera? In MY post-pandemic Midwestern perimeter? It’s more likely than you think.
