oh, and it’s time for me to put the radio broadcast undercover. i got a message from Dynamics asking me to remove the radio broadcast because they have exclusive rights.. so i’ll just move it “unlisted”.. though i thought radio broadcast has nothing to do with their recording (they recorded the dvd 5 days later when Dehggi and I were in the haus, while the radio was on opening night… but i don’t want any trouble..)

i was majorily giggling just watching her again. her facial expressions were really priceless. and to think we saw it live twice 🙂 . sooo happy they captured it for release. jeah, i think it’s fair they contacted me to request a pull (in full Italian, withOUT telling me which video to pull, and comment on my main channel instead of the video… but i’m taking a good guess that they mean this.) either way, we indeed thank them for releasing it, and so quickly! and of course they were also the one with SM’s Galatea’s dvd.. (and they did tell me i can post up to 15min 🙂 , all in Italian, i’m trusting the google translator..)

But they sound reasonable enough (so nice when it is actual people, and not a google algorithm) and I will be all their Mingardo merchandise if they keep releasing contralto recordings.

But putting the broadcast undercover or pulling it sounds reasonable – and at least they contacted you instead of flagging you!

great news. I shall order the DVD right away. I also ordered a mysterious live recording “Mingardo in concert” without information about what or where, shall keep you posted as soon it arrives. And an old Ulisse with Alessandrini recorded at Beaune 2009. Speaking of Ulisse: Thadieu mentioned in her Hamburg Ulisse review that there might be a radio recording? Please!!! Who knows how to get it let me know please.

So glad this gets the proper ‘official’ appreciation, especially Mingardo!!
I had not thought about the role of the multiple characters on stage acting as a sort of commenting Greek chorus, makes total sense! Even the suitors were alive again shortly after their death, joining the crowd (OK, I may have had sort of a dual Mingardo/Dumaux tunnel vision).

It was in the Abendblatt I think, but that person clearly didn’t have ears, also calling Mingardo one-dimensional (? :-O) while praising other singers for whom that description wouldn’t have been that far off.
